The XPT8400 is a dual-source CT system. Two X-ray sources switch automatically to cover a very wide range of sample sizes, densities and materials without re-fixturing, and the system supports standard cone-beam CT, extended field-of-view cone-beam CT, helical and double-helical scanning, DR digital radiography and real-time 2D DR imaging. It is designed for industrial manufacturing, quality control and process optimisation, where internal geometry, porosity and assembly have to be verified non-destructively.
Dual X-ray sources with automatic switching. A 450 kV open-tube source and a 225 kV / 190 kV source are combined in one cabinet, so dense sections and fine features can be imaged in the same inspection programme without unloading the part.
360° inspection from any viewing angle. The C-arm manipulator links the source and detector axes, giving unrestricted views of the region of interest and no blind spots on large or geometrically complex parts.
Full CT and DR coverage. Standard cone-beam CT, extended field-of-view cone-beam CT, helical and double-helical scanning, DR digital radiography and real-time 2D DR scanning are available in a single system.
In-house intelligent inspection software. Reconstruction, defect analysis and measurement run in Seamark ZM’s own software suite, with automated reporting for production quality control and process optimisation.
The XPT8400 is the dual-source flagship of our X-ray inspection for castings and weldments range. Where the XD160 handles routine DR screening, the XPT8400 adds large-part cone-beam 3D/CT with helical scanning for porosity and internal-geometry analysis; the XPT8200 and XCT8500 cover buyers who need a compact or higher-resolution configuration instead.
